RightRep on Android: the AI form-checking coach is in open beta on Google Play

If you train with an Android phone, the wait is over: RightRep is now in open beta on Google Play. The same AI that checks your form through the camera — already running on iPhone — now works on any Android device. Real AI coaching, in your pocket, with no extra equipment.

How to join the beta

The beta is open: anyone can join from the public RightRep listing on Google Play. There is no waitlist and no invite — install, open it, and start training.

Prefer not to install anything? The RightRep web app is the zero-install alternative: camera form checks work right in the browser.

What changes by being a beta? You get new features first and live with the occasional rough edge. Found a problem or have a suggestion? Write to us at [email protected] — beta feedback is what sharpens the app.

What's in the beta

The full app, the same one iPhone users already have:

  • Camera form checking — 25 ready-made exercise profiles (squat, bench press, deadlift, hip thrust, home-workout moves and more), with live text and voice corrections
  • Machine Scan — photograph any gym machine and RightRep builds a custom form-check profile for it
  • Per-rep scoring — automatic rep counting with a 0–100 quality score, tempo checks and left/right symmetry
  • AI plans and coach — personalized training plans plus a chat coach for training, nutrition and motivation questions
  • Photo nutrition — calories and macros from a meal photo, with daily targets and a weekly AI review
  • Running and walking — GPS tracking with route maps (works with the screen locked), Strava connection and live broadcasting with cheers
  • Community and care circle — feed, profiles, and consent-gated read-only sharing of your dashboard with the people who support you

The complete list, group by group, is on the features page; to pick by how you train, see the use-cases page.

How the form check works

Prop your phone about two meters away, pick the exercise, and go. RightRep's AI estimates 33 body points in real time, draws the color-coded skeleton over the video, and compares every joint against what good execution demands — squat depth, knee travel, hip extension on the deadlift.

Every deviation triggers an immediate correction, spoken or on screen. And every rep gets a 0–100 score, with tempo and left/right symmetry checks — the same standard a personal trainer would hold you to, available any time.

All of it runs on the device itself: pose analysis is 100% local and the camera feed never leaves your phone. That privacy commitment holds on Android exactly as it did on iPhone.

Where RightRep runs today

The app is fully available in English and Brazilian Portuguese on all three platforms.

Are you a personal trainer, nutritionist or carer?

RightRep has verified professional roles: a read-only oversight dashboard, with the client's consent, assigned targets and plans the person accepts on their own terms. See how it works on the for professionals page — university researchers are welcome too.

What it costs

Starting is free: the exercise library, history, dashboard and trends are free forever, and every new account gets a 7-day Pro trial. Pro lifts the daily AI quotas, removes ads and adds cross-device cloud sync — details on the pricing page.

Go train

Open the RightRep listing on Google Play, join the beta, and run your first set with the camera on — "was that a good squat?" reads differently when the AI shows you why. If you're new to the blog, start with the first post.

Every rep, done right — now on Android as well.
